John Lennon Perler Project - Finished!

Well, I've started my Christmas presents for this year Here is a WIP shot of John Lennon i'm making for my friend who loves him!

I still have 4 boards left. It looks a little purple or green due to the pegboards. It'll look better once it's done and mounted. This is so far the biggest perler bead project I've done.

I'll be glad when I go back to smaller sprites.....

Epic, but gorgeous, project! I know someone who would love this, since she has been crazy about finding the beatles patterns to X Stitch. I'm sure she would go crazy if she saw it. I know I'm really impressed, too.

Just finished my John Lennon. I'm not entirely happy with some of the shading so I might go back and re-do some of it.

I'm having a cutom frame made for it so I'll post a pic once it's mounted and framed (at least it won't look so green and purple)

OMG that is amazing! I've never seen a portrait done in perler. I have a friend that's obsessed with Paul McCartney. If I had the patience I would make her a portrait of him out of perler. That is so awesome beyond words LiquidKarma! Absolutely amazing job on that! How long did it take to make?

Awww thanks so much!! Just factoring in the beading it was about 1 hour per board, so 12 hours in total. It was really fun to do though, you should try it! I'd love to see a picture of Paul!!

Did you find a black and white pic and put it in Paint? That's how I usually make things with perler. I might have to give it a try sometime.
