Love it! Such a good film, and the reason I now own a peace lily. Is that a little metallic sparkle on the helmet?

if I didn't have a kitty i'd have gotten a peace lily to go with it. ;) That's metallic! E3852. :) The other option was a muddy looking colour, so I opted for the sparkle. I really should have used dyed Aida though - Simon's arms have disappeared with the white on white. I'll probably back stitch it in a really pale grey, just enough to give it definition before frame it. :)

PC Nicholas Angle is awesome - the best of the best of the best- Sir!

The Hot Fuzz piece is brilliant - would you by chance be willing to share the pattern? I have a work friend who would love this!
Current projects: 'Heroes' sketch, experiments with surface embroidery.

I love the contrast of the unicorn against the hot pink fabric! I usually paint my fabric the same way you do, based off of the technique I found on weelittlestitches' blog http://weelittlestitchescrossstitch.blo ... cloth.html. I use the small sponge stick that they recommend, which works out perfectly because you can control how much paint seeps in and it usually doesn't close up the holes. However, it also takes FOREVER to paint the fabric! I tried using a larger sponge stick and it didn't work very well. How did you paint yours? And did your holes close up from the paint? No matter how much fabric medium I put in it still doesn't seem to stop the holes from closing up.

Anime I'm stitching along to: Sailor Moon R or Bleach

It's really nice, isn't it? thanks! :D

That's *exactly* how I do my fabric! :D I was surprised how much paint and medium it uses, to be honest. I add more fabric medium than it says to, and that does seem to help, and makes the aida less.. leathery? It seems to help with the holes closing up, too, though that is a feature that can work to your advantage for a nice even background. Out of curiosity, have you tried those foam rollers? I'm thinking of giving it a go next time I need to do something big. I'm also tempted to see how that glitter paint holds up to the painting treatment. :)

Ooooooo glitter paint would be brilliant! I haven't used a foam roller yet, but if I do I'll let you know! And vice versa :) I'm going to try dying my fabric with Rit next time though just because the painting does seem to be so inconsistent.

Found the pattern on Urban Threads, and stuck it on a size 1 baby singlet. :)
My new little cousin is due today - my older and more pregnant cousin is apparently at the point where she's just telling her tummy "GET.OUT." ;) Unless he's a surprise girl, new cousin's name will be Jaxon. :)
