Hello, I'm new here but I love this forum. I love the WIP threads the most so I thought I would make one for the project I just got started on.
I found some fabulous Disney princess patterns on Etsy and I'm going to attempt to get through 5 of them to hang in my sewing room. I'm starting with Ariel from The Little Mermaid.
This pattern is being stitched on 22 ct aida and uses 100 colors. I have never stitched on this high of an aida count before so I struggled to decide on one thread or two for the stitches. I originally decided to use two but when I got a section done I felt that the two threads was warping the fabric a bit so I started over with one thread and I'm loving the outcome so far. Just have a bit on her hair done, it's been a slow start.

I calculated it being 12.5 X 18.75 or so.
I'm in love with these princess patterns. I have 5 of them to do and I couldn't decide between Jasmine or Ariel first. My friend said 'duh, Ariel! Mermaids always win!' and I couldn't argue with that logic! At the rate I'm going, I'm going to be busy with these girls for a loooong time lol!
I have not updated my project thread because shortly after creating it, my husband got sent overseas for work and I went with him. This project was way too large to take with me so it's still at home. I have picked up a mini Beauty and the Beast Disney Dreams kit (apparently I'm having an obsession with cross stitching Disney lately!) and I've started working on it the past couple days since everything has finally settled down a bit in my life. I will post pictures of it as I progress through it! So sorry for neglecting my thread here.
