No idea if this is the good spot for this question, but I would need help. I just started a project using satin floss and I just couldn't find the color I was looking for at the store. It seemed the store didn't carry all the possible colors. I'm hoping to find satin floss as close as possible to the color I am attaching to this post. Anybody has any idea what floss number I can use? It doesn't have to be DMC satin (it does have to be satin though...), as long as the color is as close as possible. A link to a website where I could buy it would be very much appreciated as well!
Thanks in advance!

What about this in the light coral? It looks pretty close to your sample image.

Definitely. Do you have the floss in your possession though? I'm just worried it looks awesome on the screen but once it's gonna be in my hands, it will look completely different! XDkatdun wrote:What about this in the light coral? It looks pretty close to your sample image.

I don't have any satin floss just yet... I assume it's the same as the regular DMC floss color 352 as it has the same number. Anybody else know?

It should be the same (or at least extremely similar) but shiny!katdun wrote:I don't have any satin floss just yet... I assume it's the same as the regular DMC floss color 352 as it has the same number. Anybody else know?

I don't know about that. Because S995 is not the same color at all as 995 IMHO. S995 looks much more "greener" and lighter. The shinny effect really changes the color... >_<
Oh well, I decided to order all the available colors I didn't have. This way I'll be sure to find the best suitable color.
Man, and I thought cross-stitching wouldn't be an expensive hobby!! XD

Re: Satin floss colors
They number them the same because of the dyes. But yeah, they will look a little different because of the shine and texture of the thread.Lileya wrote:I don't know about that.
