Your mother-in-law is almost right. Pop it in some water and it'll loosen up the strands, making them easier to pull out. I think a day is a bit extreme, 5 - 10 minutes is probably enoughstitchandpaddle wrote:Everyone's entries look great so far.I hope I get mine finished in time. A note for next time: waste canvas is a pain in the a**
Does anyone have any tips for removing the strands? My mother-in-law suggested soaking it in water for a day or so, but I'm worried that it'll just make it more difficult to remove. (And I am not using the dissolving kind, because otherwise that would be a really obvious tip...)

Oooooh, awesome!!! Megaman X never gets any love so that's really neat he picked that. I'm totally gonna vote for you!Knittenkitten wrote:I thought that I would try to get my boyfriend interested in this month's challenge and he picked Vile from Megaman X. I have one more of his and one of mine left to do hopefull before the end of the month.

Are you pulling them out with your fingers? That's what I did at first and it was was horrible. Then I realized that if I pulled from one end with tweezers and sort of gently held down my stitches from the other end that they would pull right out.stitchandpaddle wrote:Thanks BMH! I've been pulling them out and they keep breaking and making the stitches loose. I was really worried I'd have to scrap the silly thing but I will have my Wheatley stitching after all!
