She does a good job too. I've never seen a single fight on this board or even an opportunity to fight. I love it!blackmageheart wrote:I wish I had time to stitch all of these! (Maybe I'll make time...)
Anyway, I decided to pop in an entry too
This is the Guardian of the Forums. She makes sure that there's not only a variety of projects, but of people as well. She brings fun and humour and a bit of randomness to the boards. She also watches out for us and enables us to communicate with each other across vast distances.
(Recoloured and slightly edited part of a title screen from Columns on Mega Drive / Genesis.)
Got a couple more ideas brewing, hopefully I'll have time to enter them!

That image really does sum up the boards for me, in a je ne sais quois sort of way.
Mostly hibernating here. Find me on Twitter @rmdcade.

Fu'sake
Sufficient prayer to Fu'sake, generally involving repeatedly saying his name in a loud voice and possibly throwing things and stamping of feet, is known to soothe the savage crafting pain after encountering gnarled stitches, incorrect countings and other screw ups. While he may soothe tempers, his lack of fingers means he is less adept at correcting said frustrations, thus relegating him to merely "deity" status. However it should be noted that of all the deities, Fu'sake is the most regularly prayed to across the world.
Further progress shots and explanations of how Fu'sake was made can be found on my blog.

I LOL'd. Thank you. Is he by any chance related to the minor diety of "dafuq"? ;)Eliste wrote:Sufficient prayer to Fu'sake, generally involving repeatedly saying his name in a loud voice and possibly throwing things and stamping of feet, is known to soothe the savage crafting pain after encountering gnarled stitches, incorrect countings and other screw ups. I know my outbursts often go in this order: "Dafuq just happened?!" -- "Oh for Fu'sake!"Eliste wrote:I believe they're brothers now you mention it!
so that makes total sense to me!

Eliste, that's awesome! I lol'd so much I had to take a moment before typing this out.
And I read the post on your blog about it and watched it come to life - fascinating!
Anyway, here's something to help bulk out the male portion of the group:
This is Valzreal, the Lord of Judgement. He provides the balance, wisdom and discernment we all need when working on our pieces.
He knows when we must start a project, but also when we must put it down. He is the link between our artistic temperament and our practical nature. He helps us to find images and ideas to use in our craft. His Lion shield represents the courage needed to take on a new project, while his sword represents the knowledge of when to stop and rest. Through Valzreal, we have the abilities required to start and see a task through to the end safely and wisely.
I was praying to Fu'sake (and also Dafuq) for about an hour because I couldn't give this guy a name, ended up mashing up some screen names!
Sprite is the "Judgment" summon from Golden Sun, very carefully recoloured!

Words of prayer I offer up on a very regular basis. In fact, I was just praying to Fu'sake!kuja.girl wrote:"Dafuq just happened?!" -- "Oh for Fu'sake!"

I am happy to present my offering, Joann Michaels, the goddess of craft supply stores.
She is a very fickle goddess, sometimes leading you to exactly what you need, sometimes hiding it from you. She can lead you around in a merry chase or she can inspire you to try new things. She is happy to accept ritual offerings of most major credit cards and cash. She also appreciates donations of hours of your time.
The sprite is Nina from Breath of Fire II in her upgraded form.
