not too sure how to make thumbnails on the first page....but here are some more of my stuff i did. All credit for the images where credit is due.

For thumbnails...
The images will need to be saved to a public webspace. Flickr is the easiest I've found and it's free of course.
First, click the "URL" button above where you type. Then click "Img". Between the Img handles is where the URL for your thumbnail goes. So on your Flickr page in your Photostream, find the thumbnail of the pic you want to post and right click. You should get an option to copy the Image URL. Then paste it on the Spritestitch board in the Img spot. Then go over to the URL handle. Put an equal sign after the "L" and this is where the full size image URL goes so people can view the whole thing.
This might be over-explained, but here is what it should look like:
