I've finished the smaller items and FINALLY got the aida and have started the bigger item, but looking at them now it doesn't seem like much, so I might be doing something else also, if I have the time, but I doubt I'll be mailing it 'til next month sometime!

If I recall correctly there's no limit to what you can send.. which to most people means you can send a truck load of stuff (yippie) but honestly you probably don't need to push yourself so hard. even if you don't go above and beyond, your gift receiver will probably love it already! :link

I'll wait and see how I go, but I'd love to add something extra! If I don't have time to make it maybe I'll go buy a stuffed koala with 'GREETINGS FROM AUSTRALIA!!!' emblazoned on it!

That's a pretty cool idea to include something from your hometown... I may just have to do that as well!

aaargghhhh I was thinking off doing something cool with my embroidery machine but it died on me! I only have it for 6 months and it was VERY expensive! I have brought it back to the store to get it fixed but I don't know if it will be back in time. :cray:

I am doing some other things though so my partner will still be spoiled. And I was also thinking of sending some tipical Dutch sweets. Maybe I'll send Stroopwafels. hmmmm...

tnitnetny that looks very promising! Can't wait to see the final product.

I think so, too! For the mini swap I threw in some local souvenirs and a magazine about the Bakken area since my hometown is pretty much in the middle of it all. This time I'm going to try to get some snapshots of the oilfield chaos around town and some pictures from an oil rig (if I can sweet-talk a righand into taking some for me, that is... ;) )

I finally finished the major work on my big item, all I have left are the finishing touches! Now I just have to whip up a quick baby sampler for a friend, and then it's on to the rest of my smaller swap items! :yahoo:

I really like the idea of including something local too. I think I will put in a jar of Old Bay seasoning. I am in the Crab state after all. :D

Yes fortunately it is still under warranty but it will probably take a few weeks to repair. :cray:
