After seeing RMDC's posts, I just had to make this:

On topic, I'm looking forward to seeing what everyone has made. Whatever size or measure of insanity, it'll be awesome! :D

Ahaha, nice one Izzy! (Might make a pattern from that one, too :P)
Nothing like a bit of ego-building on a Saturday morning. I love you all! :wiz

And returning to topic, how's everyone doing? I'm about 3/4 of the way through the first piece of my first gift (sounds complicated and it is) but I need supplies for that so today I will be starting some other stuff!

Make it sew. Engage! :D

I've made the smaller items, but I'm waiting too long to get the fancy aida delivered, so I'm contemplating doing something a little different instead. I'll give it another week and if it doesn't come, I'll have to come up with something else.

I'm almost done with my first item, I need to assemble it still, and I've started stitching the second item.

The BIG part of mine is about 1/3 done, which stresses me out a bit... but only one more week till summer break. Then all of my power and might will go into finishing it!

Has it been driving anyone else up a wall that they can't post a WIP pic? I want all of your input on certain aspects, and I get ready to head to the forums for advice.... and BAM :banghead: I remember I can't.

Yeah, so I've actually been avoiding taking WIP pics right now. I'm going to do a few when the parts of my first gift are ready to be assembled, I think :D

But yeah, I'm finding it totally frustrating to not get any input!

I just bought my supplies last week as Michael's, Hobby Lobby, and Jo Ann's were ALL out of a key component for THREE WEEKS!!! If I had known, I would have just ordered online, but alas. Anywho, I still only have the one idea and I'm about a third of the way through it. I'm toying with a couple other ideas, but nothing set in stone (or stitch, har har) yet.

It scares me that all of you guys are making several gifts.
I've decided to make a big one (very time consuming and a lot of work to do on it, almost 90.000 stitches, 86.000 to go!), I hope it will still be ok, and I hope my swappie will like it because I'm not even sure I'm gonna finish it on time, I'm really trying hard, I'm stitching all I can when I have a little time for myself.

But I know it will come out wonderfully and that's keeping me motivated! :nod

Of course, if I still have time by the end of June, I'll add a little something else on the side.
WIPs :
- Portal icons and Aperture Science logo
- The Name of the Doctor

90,000 stitches! That's pretty ambitious :D
Hope you find the time to finish it!

I hate when that happens, which is nearly all the time. It's always something you REALLY need! :D
