LOVE the Bowser one, though I played the heck out of Super Mario World too!

Thanks for the feedback, y'all. I was concerned about the first one not being clear enough as to who it is, you know? Still having issues with the pattern. I'd like to have clear black lines kind of like the second pic, but I'm afraid of fudging it up. :sorry:

As for what made us pick the squares we're doing, I know I based my first batch of squares off of some of the games that I played overandoverandoverandoverandover when I was young (before the N64 came out) that I could find screen shots of. I really wanted to find a shot of Kung Fu Ninjas, but it's kind of an obscure game. I picked Sephiroth because it's the only Final Fantasy games I've played. If I finished both of those in a reasonable time, I'd like to do Sheik from OoT because that's my FAVORITE Zelda character.

Almost completed... but I'm so excited I couldn't resist posting a pic!

Just the green fill left, and the white. I always save white for last, that way there is less of a chance of me getting it dirty.

I chose ALTTP because it was the game that got me into gaming and gives me my love of RPG. I'm doing an Earthbound square because the game had such a neat look to it. And it was super fun to play.

Oh, those designs are all so great! I still have to make mine, but I did get my fabric today! I ordered it online and got it the next day, I have 0.40 x 1.10 meters, so I'll have squares between 15 and 16 inches... (the fabric came in 1.10m, so had to do it this way...) I'm gonna start making my patterns soon, and start stitching away!!!

Yup. I am a VERY fast quilter, So if I end up with 4-5 quilts and some throw pillows, all the better for charity!

Feel free to send me squares as they get done if you want, I can keep pictures of them up and start designing the quilts. If I get all the squares for one quilt in, I can get started on it while everyone is stitching up more.

I don't remember if I ever gave my address or not.

How much cash would you like us to send with our squares? I'm rather ignorant on the cost of quilting supplies.

Oooh boy, been way too long since I checked in with you guys.
I'm very sorry, I had a few weeks filled wit nothing but college work trying to get my wprojects done before the deadlines.

But wow, progress shots from people already and they look great too!
I feel like such a procastinator now. :P

I'll need to order my 16 count aida online, my local craft store no longer stocks 16 count Aida (only 14 and 18.) nor can she get it from her suplier for some odd reason, but I already have a good amount of the DMC threads I need, so as soon as the Aida comes in I can get started. ^^
There sure are a lot more Zelda squares in the planning stages then last time I checked, but extra squares were not a problem if I read correctly, so I should stilll be good to go with my own right?

Finally got some possible block patterns, not sure which ones I will make yet I figured I would hold off on harvest moon since there were two other people that had it on the list. I tried to pick games that I figured other people wouldn't do (hence to final fantasy, zelda, mario) but ended up making a mario pattern anyways. They are also games either I watched my brother play when I was younger or some of my favorites. The Zelda pattern is for the zelda quilt I still need to make my FF square pattern and get supplies.

I figured I'd go ahead and do this now, before I wait too long and look like a real jerk. I'm dropping out of this. I have tons of projects already started, two Christmas gifts that I still have yet to finish, three birthday gifts that I'm getting ready to start, AND I've started a sewing class with a friend. I just don't see myself getting this project done in time with everything else I've got going. I'm sorry, guys. I know it probably sounds like a lame reason, but I don't want any of my projects to suffer because I'm trying to cram too many into one time frame. I've done some work on a Mothula pattern and a Bunny Link pattern, so if anyone wants those, I'd be more than happy to let you have them for this. Just let me know. I wish everyone else the best of luck and, again, I'm really sorry.

Sorry to hear you're dropping out DontCrossMe, it is a lot to take on and if you can't manage it you can't manage it :) Don't worry about it, I'm sure we'll be able to take up the slack - but have those patterns handy incase anybody needs them!

Jadely, your square is looking great! And, since we're doing progress shots, here's one of my first square - Alis/Alisa from Phantasy Star:

And, before I run out of black, I've also made a start on my second square - Shining Force I:

There are some colours missing from my stash, so I can't complete a whole square atm... but I figured I'd get as much done as I can while I'm waiting for my order to arrive :D
Hope everyone's doing well! ^^
