Making this for my friend. Have not cross-stitched in like 10 years. I have already messed up a bunch of times...

Thanks! I feel like my stitches look pretty amateur and I don't know why it takes me so long. I think maybe I have too much extra material on the sides.

Also, I am using 18 count with 2 strands. Perhaps I should not have started out with such a high number? You can tell I started on the light green. I actually had to rip over 30 stitches out and redo.

18 count with two strands is my personal favorite to work with and I think makes the picture look better. It really depends on the final size really or what you are comfortable with. My mom, for example, uses 14 count or so just because it's easier on her eyes and to find her spot better. Great work so far though! I think your stitches look just fine and I can't wait to see how it turns out.

Wow it's going a lot faster now
I always like to start with the outline so you get an idea how big it is going to be. Looks like a good size on this one.

Keep up the good work and make sure to post more WIP's.

I managed to perform some much need surgery as I did not like the pattern. If you see the 3 purple stitches by the teeth in the first picture, I manged to remove them even though they were buried under a whole bunch of thread. Great success!

i think they're better without the purple stitches, well done. you planning on doing all four of them? also, nice animation.
