Because I live in Australia... I usually just shop at my (not so local) craft store, Spotlight - they always have exactly what I want XD (and an adorable button range ^^). Although I have been looking for a website which ships to Australia... So if anyone has any suggestions they'd be appreciated, thanks :)

Edit: Just bought a whole pile of floss off Ebay (brand new, of course), and if anyone's interested... http://stores.shop.ebay.com.au/Country- ... QQ_armrsZ1 They're really good, and I got my floss within a couple of days after ordering :)

The reason I ask is because it seems that ever time I go to the store in my city I have to order stuff there anyway because they don't have it. I live in a very small town, the craft stores close at 5:30 pm (which I work till every day) and are only open on saturday on the weekend, so if I forget something I can't go back till the next week. It's very frustrating.

Thanks in advance

yeah, the place which i lived is also few cross stitch kits to sell, so i usually go to the website and used the google engine for searching, uxsight.com and amazon.com or bestbuy.com online shop are my choices now, you can also to find what you want. :wiz
Well, i just bought a red rose wall clock from the flowers cross stitch kits which is ideal for telling time and showing off your stitching.

For anyone in Sydney or NSW, Australia, we have an excellent embroidery supplies store here in Katoomba (Blue Mountains) that is well worth a visit. It's called The Stitching Post and is a lovely house converted into a store. They've used the WHOLE HOUSE so there's a ROOM FOR THREAD and many rooms full of patterns to get you going. I believe it's the best in the greater Sydney area and I'm very lucky indeed to be 5 mins walk away!

I usually just go to Micheal's or Jo-Anne Fabrics, but I usually stick with the former. Their usually cheaper. But I found that Hobby Lobby has a wider array of projects. As in hand towels, baby shoes(which i dont get at all, but maybe one of you could make shoes for your lil ones) blankets, etc.

Thanks, Ed, for the tip-off on Hobby Lobby. I've been passing one on my way to the new job, but I wasn't sure if they had cross-stitch stuff. I'll try to stop in soon and see what they've got!

I disrecommend Michael's though because my local one has very few stitching supplies and they're ALWAYS out of the thread color I need. Joann's also seems to have more friendly/helpful staff for some reason.

For anyone in the UK (or outside for that matter) I use
http://www.thehappycrossstitcher.co.uk Their prices are better than a local shop and they offer free delivery to anywhere in the UK- and considering the order i made had 87 different flosses and 3 different fabrics they got it sorted and shipped to me pretty quick. As i live in jersey (the island not the state) I have acces to only one shop, it has all the DMC floss in stock but barely any aida- mainly 14ct and cream.......i don't want cream.

http://www.sewandso.co.uk/ are also pretty good for what they stock, although i can't comment on delivery as i only ordered from them last night.

oh, i'm gonna bookmark http://www.thehappycrossstitcher.co.uk
let's see how that works out.

i usually get my thread and aida from a small local store, but they're closed on sunday's and monday's. and tuesday i'm going to start working 6 days a week. so i never get the chance to go there.. plus, a skien costs €1. i wanna see if i can get it cheaper.. for the next project i need 19 colors. and i don't have any of them yet. and i'm out of black and white thread also.. -.-'

just bookmarked thehappycrossstitcher!

was getting annoyed with paying £0.75 for each skein when i know that some places sell them for under $1 and there shipped from france!!!
thanks for sharing the link techno-ninja :D

my current pic so far has cost me: £41.25 just for one of each colour and i know that ive needed 2-3 of at least five of them!!

if i bought them here i would have saved £8+ oh well
