Now that I've moved into a place with a lot more wall I don't necessarily need to sell them anymore. Someone bought the Slimes right away, but since then nothing (but I've also been AWOL from the Internets and rubbish at promotion).
Anyway, I think I am going to go back and put them in collage frames. I can't find one that fits all of them, but I'm hoping to find a handful and put 6 monsters or so in each one. I'll need to go back and make the Slimes again, but those take no time at all.

Re: Dost thou wish to continue thy quest?

Here's the first attempt at a collage frame. It looks pretty boss. Unfortunately, most of the stitched monsters are of a size that does not fit in most collage frames (I'm looking at you, Golems and Knights). So, I don't know if I want to keep this, or pull them out and frame each one individually. Those IKEA frames I got to in which to frame my EarthBound heroes look pretty nice on the front if a little cheap on the back.

I agree: they look great. I just don't know what to do with the rest of them. Some of my favorite monsters (the Golems, the Knights, and probably the Dragons too) just aren't going to fit in any frames like this.
Such a pity. It'd look great to have a couple of these.

nice! those collage frames do look awesome, but if they cant fit all the characters its no good...the single ikea frames will only cost you like $30 for the set...and itd look sweet on a wall with a crapload of frames arranged artfully...

Re: Dost thou wish to continue thy quest?
This is exactly what I was thinking. I don't love that the backs of the Ikea frames are just cardboard on the back (they have a cardboard stand and some kind of crummy looking loops) but from the front they look pretty decent. I still really like the EarthBound set. I can't decide if I should paint or stain them
Were I doing this whole thing over again—and I most certainly am not—I'd do them all on black fabric and paint the frames white in homage to the menus in game. This would cause problems with the Shadow Knight—or whatever his name was—but it would be fun to have a black on black monster too.
Sigh. This is what I get for trying to use up my 11-count fabric, having an idea, and pursuing that idea to an end that was a tad too far.
