Red Yoshi!
My son saw a picture of a green Yoshi blanket on the internet made by graph in double crochet and asked me if I could make one for him in red. I'd just discovered tunisian crochet and thought that it would be perfect for a graph. This is my very first attempt at a blanket that doesn't have spelled out instructions stitch by stitch. I think it's turning out pretty good so far! A little mishap here and there, but over all I'm pretty proud of it. When his head is done I'm going to add side boarders of squares with Yoshi eggs in them.

Thanks for looking!

It looks great! I would love to see it finished, as for any mishaps in the pic. you don't see any.

Re: Red Yoshi!
Thanks guys! I spent today finishing Yoshi's head. Here it is! Also, I decided that up each side I will do alternating Yoshi egg and an apple. That should look pretty good

Re: Red Yoshi!
My twins took TWO two-hour naps yesterday so I got a lot more done than I normally would be able to.
Today I start the border!
Fun!

Looks great so far! I've never done tunisian crochet (just the basic stitches) - is it difficult?

Re: Red Yoshi!
I think tunisian crochet is even easier than regular crochet. I've tried many different stitch types, (this one is the basic single stitch) and I love them all. It gives a look that is a cross between crochet and knit without the work of knit. Although, the color change in tunisian crochet works more like knit than crochet. But, still, I love it

The apples look good. I really like that you shaded them with the darker red.
