Ironic heroes are an awesome idea! When I played Pokemon Red/Blue I was always rooting for Blue/Gary/Rival because his story was so sad, and his Grandpa cared more for Red/Ash/whatever than his own Grandson! It was like 'Hang in there man, you can do it!'

Madeline L'Engle once wrote a character who determined the trustworthiness of others by their odor. Every time I read that book, I think of Blue. :3
