Small parts I'll usually use a really small crochet hook and loosen my stitchings a bit. I tend to make mine really tight and with smaller pieces I get really angry cause the hook won't fit in the stitchings and I'll quit too. I've attempted a small Oddish and Squirtle to make keychains and I stopped too. Try either of those and just take your time. Walk away for a bit if you get frustrated. You'll get it. Post a picture if you ever finish it :)
Thanks for the tips! And I'll definitely post photos if/when I finish it!

Those Sailor Senshi dolls are adorable! Is there a Tuxedo Kamen in the works to go with them? ;)

This makes me want to dig out my hooks and make more dolls - I've only finished one and my kids claimed it immediately. I have a disembodied head around here somewhere waiting to be completed...

This is a link to my Tuxedo Mask that I've made. I'd post the actual picture but this computer at work isn't cooperating with me :(

haha I have a few limbs and heads around the house too. It freaks my husband out.
I'm sure it was a very nice doll that your kids claimed, lol, you should definitely make more.

Your amigurumi dolls are adorable! I'm still not good enough at my crochet to make one, but seeing these makes me want to get better SOON! :D

Aww thank you  it is a slow start but the more you do it the better you'll get and you'll just bang out some dolls in no time!
I can make about 4 of the doll parts (head, arms and legs) in under an hour. Its the rest of the stuff that takes the longest. Hair especially with my method of one strand at a time
