Functional Pokeflute

Post by rbaron »

I got the idea after looking all over for one on etsy, or even a licensed one. No such luck. So I painted a bamboo flute and added the ball (which was the most difficult part) and voila!

I did have two made up today, but the sealant I tried to use was corrosive to the ball, and I couldn't salvage it. I saved this one though.

It is functional, and I've played the song on it. I'm happy with the way it turned out  Hopefully, I can get better pictures in the daytime.

Soooo cool, and a great idea! Now I want to play those songs on my (non-awesome) flute...where did you find the music from the game?

Also: how much ash did you have to collect? (lol)

For the song, I just did it by ear. I've been playing clarinet since I was 9 (goodness...is that really 15 years now? *old*), so music is pretty much second nature to me. I'm trying to figure out Lugia's Song next.

As for ash...you know, I walked around at work yesterday to probably collect enough lol...
