Some of my homemade wall art

Post by Lunariah »

My husband and I both love crafts and video games, so when it came time to decorate the walls of our house, we make things like this:

My husband made it out of the covers of his old video game manuals.

For Christmas one year, he made me this:

Long before we were dating, we were best friends and spent a LOT of time playing video games together. This shadow box showcases some of the games we played (and a few inside jokes :D )

These next two aren't video game related, but they are displays I created to showcase our favorite decks from a CCG we played together, Magi-Nation:

I apologize for the not great pictures, I am not very good with the camera.

I love the idea of doing that with the manuals! I have a whole bunch of them stashed away (never had the heart to get rid of them) and never thought of using them in such a way. They look great! :D

Are those normal picture frames or something else?

The first one is a poster picture frame. The backing it came with was a sheet of cardboard that my husband attached the covers to. The second is a shadow box more than a frame. The third and fourth are 12"x12" frames that they make for scrapbook pages or record albums. All came from the craft stores.

I think there are about thirty of them in there, but there are a couple that are almost completely covered. Depends how much of each cover you want to show :D
