I have to admit I haven't played through most of them. Like you, I'm a big KH fan, and a friend of mine recommended Final Fantasy X. It is , by far, one of the best games I've ever played. I'm playing through it for a second time!
FFX was awesome!! If you liked X you should try XII, it's A LOT longer but it's amazing!

I don't know much about FFVII- but I like you idea a lot! I think it might just look a little off balance with nothing in the lower left hand corner. Perhaps you could add a little humor by placing a neon pink or lime green chocobo in that corner with a '?' over his head-- like WTF where did I come from.
I didn't understand your piece till I read your explanation of the family tree. What do the letters mean? I like the pattern.
Have you tried a different fabric colour? That might make all the difference. The yellow on the birds will pop a little more then. Will the biegey colour you have of this it washes out the yellow.
I understood the piece because I've played though FF7 a few times. I've got a few ideas to help you.
- You don't need to change the background, but you could change the background in the little squares to make them pop out.
- A title along the top in a border? Something like 'CHOCOBO FAMILY TREE'
- A fancier border for the little squares? Nothing too fancy, maybe 3 pixels in width, two black outer lines and a grey one in the middle. Or, like my brother pointed out, you could make the boxes look like the message boxes from one of the Final Fantasy games.
- A key for what the letters are in the bottom left corner. I think you could drop the Y from all the yellow chocobos and maybe have something like this: GDC- Good Chocobo, GTC- Great Chocobo, WC- Wonderful Chocobo. Also, I don't think you need the M in the Black Chocobo box. Really it should be BRMC (Black River-Mountain Chocobo).
- Lines joining the boxes like a proper family tree.

It's not a challenge this time, just a stitch-a-long because not many people entered the challenge last time.. Everyone works on their patterns at the same time and posts progress shots so everyone can be encouraged and finish. It'll probably be a month or two before we have another challenge. Just don't worry about it, there's no deadline!
For the people who've never played any ff and are wondering what to make, can we get a list of favourite monsters, concepts and characters? Or ideas you probably won't make.
Just some buzzwords or sentences that people can google at their leisure.
