Link and Zelda Amigurumi Dolls

Post by Laialda »

Long time no see Sprite Stitch! Been awhile since I've done some video game dolls or, just had time to mess around online really, and since I've got a minute, I thought I'd share my newest dolls from one of my all time favorite game series: The Legend of Zelda. :nod

I designed them based off their models from the Twilight Princess game because I liked all the details in that one the most. While I love Link in those games, I think Zelda is my favorite of these two. She just has a lot more to her. Of course...this is a love hate thing for me as I don't think I can ever make her again as that hair :banghead: it took hours to do and was just way too much of a pain for me to really want to make one again. Her crown also broke something 3? 4 times? I don't know. Just glad it's in place and one piece in the end really. :P

I'm a detail obsessive person so I always put as much in a piece as I can. :D I actually wanted the crown to be on entire circlet...but then I saw how thin it would have to be and I knew it wouldn't hold the form/shape when I tried to bake the sculpy. :(

I had to go back and look again when you said this... at first I had thought you had repurposed a toy crown. It took a close look to see that it was indeed sculpy!

Super cutie. I think that's one craft I'll never pick up. I can't seem to wrap my head around it. You're super talented though. :)

Ha! Don't I wish. Though I am in love with making things from sculpy for my dolls...but I do have my limits ;)

Thank you. ^_^ If you ever do want to try and give amigurumi making a go, I'll be making a beginners guide to it in January. So feel free to check it out. :nod
