Mushroom Birthday Cake

This is a pretty old photo of a cake i made for my boyfriend, Louis's, 23rd birthday, 15th of October!
He's a pure geek, but my geek none the less.
The evidence being the pixelated Mario Mushroom tattoo he has on his arm and Guybrush Threepwood tattoo he has on his shin!

I got the idea from when I was trolling the internet for nintendo and pacman cupcakes.
Louis make me lego cupcakes for my 18th, which is was on the 13th of September. They we're brilliant btw!
So I reconed I would 1UP on him and so this was the result.



I know there's a little cracking of the icing at the side, I rolled it a little too thin.
Oh! And my camera has a permanent fish eye lense on it, courtesy of a rough gig in Glasgow.
This is no match for the kirby cake that was on the homepage but i'm still proud ! x

The fish eyed lens gives it an arty look, very cool. I like this cake, I bet it was very yummy. The size of the picture is right too. Great Job, a tasty craft indeed

Edit: Just saw the wee mushrooms on the side.... Sooooo Cute!!

Hahaha yeahh They were to make it look less bare i suppose.

Think my next idea is to do cupcakes, nintendo, guitar hero, pac man. All types !
