Link Latchhook Rug OoT

Post by Sakume »

Well I decided to post here because I thought it would be nice to get other crafter's opinions after browsing a lot as a guest. I love to do latchhook rugs. This was my first big undertaking and it was completed not too long ago. I'm considering selling on Etsy/through another method if people show interest, maybe in the future when I get a little stock going (also think that Con- KHAAAN - erp, sorry, might be a good place to sell.) Here's some pictures of the finished product!

Awwwwwwwwesooooooooome......

I love it! I'm always excited to see something latch-hooked. So far as I can tell, this makes a total of five latch hook projects on this whole site. I did one of them, and would do more, but I could never figure out how to go about anything more complex like this. You have impressed me. It's beautiful!

Thank youuu~ I saw your rug, it's really neat! And so beautiful. Isn't it a crime they look better from the back than the front? But they're so fluffy from the front. If you want to do something more complex, I suggest either spoofing it as you go with picture to guide you, or taking an existing crochet pattern and adapting it. From what I can gather I think they're about the same as it would be for a rug, but I've never tried it so I could be wrong.

I never :swoon: NEVER walk on my rugs (apart from one that's somewhat old and makes a good rug for it (bare feet only). From what I understand there ARE a few people that do, and if they do, that's fine with me. From what I hear there's rug backing people put on latchhook rugs sometimes (though I've never done it myself) and people do wash it (it is yarn, after all so it should clean okay) but I just don't know how it would turn out for me and I much prefer looking at my creations on the wall where they look pretty hanging up.

That is way more complex a latch hook then i could ever do without a pattern but its sooooo good. I don't blame you for not walking on it either all that work and then walk on it no way. Props to those that do walk on em though because I'd be way to scared to ruin it. I just can't get over how great it looks. :clapping:

We have a latchhook rug made about 10 years ago. Its been being walked on ever since (bare feet), and its still pretty much fine (aside from perhaps needing a wash). They seem pretty durable
