That's pretty close to what I expected - I had a great-aunt that used to make quilts, and both her daughters were long-haul truck drivers. They'd take them on their trips to California, and sell them for her. She got over $300 for some of her king/queen size ones. The year I turned 16, she gave me a queen sized one
I love quilts, and would gladly pay that for one - if I had it. *sigh* unemployment sucks.
Tetris Quilt! I will have this one with me at the Baltimore Comic Con next weekend. Pattern courtesy of Julie Ramsey. It is twin size and uses all Batiks.
Thanks guys, I love how it turned out with the Batiks. The fabric is expensive but worth it.

It depends on the quilt. This one with the 3D technique took me about 60 man hours of work. I did it over a month and a half. I actually messed up a few times and had to redo some squares. It is a hard technique to master but eventually figured it out. Hopefully if I make another one it will only take me 30-45 hours.
I am getting my display books ready for the Comic Con and it just dawned on me I have made 37 quilts since July 2009. Holy crap. I didn't realize I really do spend most of my time on my sewing machine.

I know what you mean, i just counted up my stock for the next convention, and realized I really don't have a life outside my cross stitch!
Wow!
That tetris quilt alone is emough to inspire me to learn how to quilt. I have had the desire to learn in the back of my mind for a while now, but seeing this has brought it all out now.
Awesome job!
