It's gonna be Huge! (or not): Halloween crafts!

Hi everyone!
I'm planning a Halloween party. The selected theme is "party at Arkham Asylum". The main idea is that the residents of Arkham have taken control of the place.
So I'd like ideas from crafters of all kinds: how can Batmanize my apartment?
I've searched the internet for ideas, but so far I've found "kids stuff". I'd like something a bit creepy (This is Halloween, for ***'s sake!). I'm thinking dimed lights, and maybe music from the anime and/or the game (Arkham Asylum).
Ideas on what to do (and possibly how to do it) ?

i guess some jack o lantern of batman's vilain would be cool! And maybe bat-themed cupcake for sweet?

Nice idea! Now I need to figure which villain I should carve!!
I was also wondering if it was possible (and safe) to build my very own bat signal...
Concerning food, cupcakes are a nice idea. I was thinking maybe a "two-face" cake (like, a simple round cake, with a half white chocolate, half black chocolate ganache?), shortbread biscuits shaped like bats, question tags (for E-Nigma), maybe cards (for the Joker), cats (Catwoman)... Maybe something ice-related for Freeze... But this is all sugar! What salty dish do you think the batman villains would eat?

Kinda hard of thinking "salty" with halloween, haha And since i'm not a batman pro...maybe sweets of the vilain and salty of the heroes? i dunno...

what about savoury biscuits/crackers/chips for dips, still with the bats/cats/card/? shape idea (and pengiun, ivy leaves)
or mini quiche or pizzas with batman related garnish/topping arrangement - ooh bat wing shaped pepperoni on pizza!

do you have access to a projector for your bat signal?
bars on windows? rattling chains? cobwebs and skeleton as usual....
joker cards as coasters (if bothering with coasters!)

im not a massive batman fan (i like the movies but thats about it!) but can you do something related to the weapons they use, or think how you think they might actually 'take control of the place'?

Yes, I do have access to a (small) projector, but I'm concerned about the heat...
I was thinking maybe doing an "Ivy" room, with lots of plats, maybe Ivy on the door, as if nature was crawling all over...
Sugar= villains Salt=heroes!! This is pure genius!! I'm definitely doing that! ... But now I gotta think of something a heroe might wanna eat...
Nice idea for Freeze! I think I'm gonna buy some instant snow, and decorate part of the apartment (the one with the drinks!) with ice cubes, snow globes and fake snow. Thanks a lot!
As for cards for coaster, nice idea. We're probably playing poker that night, so there's gonna be quite a lot of cards!!

Maybe you can make some sandwich with a die cut of a batman hero (a bat? a R? a cat?) like those sandwich. I think it's funny and kind of simple, and filling of your choice. Maybe you could tell us what you were planning to do, that way we could try to find some idea focused on those?

Neat costumes, lots of sweets, a poker game (the great Halloween Tournament!) and probably video game sessions. Usually, we also offer "real" food (the previous years, we did pizza, mexican and sushi! (all home-made!)). Halloween is just a pretext for gathering, eating too much food and playing dress-up! But this year, I'd like the whole thing to be related to the theme.
