Sephiroth Pixel Hobby Art

Post by Toiya55 »

Hey guys! This is something I started awhile ago and haven't touched in awhile, so I decided I would post it and hopefully get re-inspired to start it up again. It is along the same lines (kinda) as cross stitch, but it uses individually colored plastic pixels that you put on a clear board with little points on it. It is very awesome to try if you enjoy stitching in my opinion. The website is http://pixelhobby-usa.com/.

Don't mind the lines between the plates. They didn't want to cooperate with the carpet and stay tight together.

This is kinda the pic I went off of (I don't claim rights to it etc) but this is the full version of it. I'm only doing the face, but I can't find the same picture anymore that I used for this project since my computer died on me and I had to system restore it. (If anyone happens to have it I would appreciate it if you could post it! :D )

Thanks =) I have the pattern for it, but the actual picture would be nice to see while I am working on it. I searched photobucket and deviantart but no luck. =\

Oh also I have another one of these done that is only 6 plates (this one is 24) that I will post on here when I get a chance.

I love how those pixels look. I really want to try it now. I think they sell the materials at a shop in my town, so I'm going to try real soon.

You chose a great picture to do, it will look so amazing when it's done. I hope you will start again and post more pictures.

That looks amazing, I actually want to have a go at this (not this picture though!) so I'm hoping somewhere in the UK stocks these...

Good job and can't wait to see more of it :D

OMG that looks awesome. I would love to see you finish that. It looks similar to perler beading. My husband would kill me if I started a new craft. I'm in to too many as it is and he complains that it clutters up our house. LOL

OMG that is amazing. I came across those a little while ago and was wondering what they would look like. Very tempted now...

Here's the first project I did with this. I loved the pic (before I realized it was Sephiroth! Honest! I'm not that obsessed...~cough~) so I did a 2x3 project of it. It measures 10x12 inches.

I will post a WIP after every couple plates are done if you guys want. :D I'm glad so many people are interested in this now! Would love to see more of this from other people too. :yahoo:

I know this is kind of a sucky WIP pic since I only have gotten one finished since my first post  but I keep getting distracted by the million other projects and crafts I have. So here is one more plate done and a pic of my drawer I store all of my pixels in (each one you see is one of those squares filled with pixels from my first post). I just thought it would be nifty to post too. ^_^ Now I can't decide if I should keep working horizontally or give in to temptation and finish his face next! :yahoo:

Used a different camera and it came out a bit darker this time.
