those are cool...

but, I've always been skeptical about using wood products in ear piercings...just seems like it would be a nice breeding ground for infections.

Wood is actually a lot better in the case of ear gauges. Especially if its organic. It (along with some bone materials) allows the skin to breath, unlike steel or acrylics, so you don't get half of the build up, blow outs or infections. :D

But wood harbors moisture because of the millions of tiny pores. :banghead:

Wow. Really cool. I would consider them if I had decided at what size my ears will end up. Also, they're rather expensive.
