Crochet sprite blankets
I was wondering how many chains to start off with to make a blanket? And what size hook? The blanket would just be around the size of a throw blanket, or even bigger would be nice, too. I'm just terrible with guessing at sizing

Re: Crochet sprite blankets
If I remember correctly, most of the sprite crochet blankets are made with bunches of granny squares. That way, you can keep working with one color yarn instead of switching back and forth (which I find a pain).
If you still want to just do a basic stitch blanket, I'd suggest crocheting a swatch of the yarn you want to use with the hook you want to use. That way you can figure out how big to make each of the "pixels" and should do the math from there to get the total length you want.
I spend far too much time making up crochet patterns for things ;P

Re: Crochet sprite blankets
thank you! ^-^ and that's a good idea to make a small piece and just figure it out from there
