I'm in a secret Santa gift exchange and someone asked me for assistance on buying a cross stitch pattern for another person. I gave her the general run-down on buying a pattern online (through Etsy) and how to read a color guide and get the appropriate DMC floss colors in the appropriate quantities.
Well, the pattern she bought has a color guide that looks like this. I have no idea what the top number represents! I'm assuming the second and third rows for each color are # of skeins and stitches (so 15 skeins of DMC-3865) and 13,417 stitches in that color. But what the heck is 118.07m?
Any ideas on this pattern's notation?

It could be the amount of thread that is used. A skein of DMC thread is 8 meters so if you times that by 15, you get 120 meters which is really close to 118.

Okay that's super weird haha, but good to know! I suspected it was metric measurements but I also thought, "Why would anyone want to know that?" and didn't even bother seeing if the math matched up.
