I am so glad you said that! I have been a bit worried as this is my first time using the q-snaps and my Rayman square looks a little wonky but you've made me feel a bit better now lol!SofaraStarfyre wrote:Here is my finished Sonic Square!! The only thing I'm having trouble with is that there is so much excess material around the outside and it is constantly getting in my way! I've had to bulldog clip most of it up but it's still so bulky. Oh well, at least I have all my arms and legs =P

Re: Charity Quilt(s) 2013
I'm so jealous! I keep seeing a lot of people finishing their first square and starting on their second one. I keep thinking its not fair and that I must be a really slow stitcher. But then I remember that I'm going to school 3 days a week, have to complete homework and the general things that come with being alive. BUT I've started the second page of my square so I should be good. RIght?

So here's may latest WIPs
The background is completely finished and I just need to start filling in Rayman!
This is where the fiddly bits come in, but I'm happy so far!

Great work so far from everyone! I'm ~200 stitches away from completion, and I can't wait to show it off. Tomorrow, maybe?
EDIT: Or maybe tonight! After putting in print just how close I was to finished, I felt motivated to muscle through the rest of the project. So, here it is...
This was fun! And I learned some valuable lessons for my next charity project.

Re: Charity Quilt(s) 2013
I really need to get back to stitching my squares. I was stitching so much from November to January that I think I was on the verge of getting carpal tunnel, so I took all of February off. I started my March challenge piece yesterday, and got about a third done, so I think I'll finish that up in the next few days and then back to my first square.

I know this has probably been asked before but as I live in Australia, what is the latest I can have my square finished and in the mail?
I don't want to make the mistake of assuming I have more time than I actually do!
Also, what is the best way to package it? I know it's not exactly breakable but...
And we should add tracking, yeah? Cos something like that just can't be replaced!

From Australia to Canada I would give it at least 4 weeks.Shazbang wrote:I know this has probably been asked before but as I live in Australia, what is the latest I can have my square finished and in the mail?

Shipping it in a padded mailer is fine. Remember, I am going to wash and iron them when they arrive. I would pay for the tracking, but it is up to you.
