Re: Stitching for Charity! (brainstorming)
If the larger size of aida is a problem, I could get away with a 4 inch border around. I will have less room to play with when I "square" them up, but it should be fine.

Re: Stitching for Charity! (brainstorming)
I've gone through the list and it doesn't look like there are any real issues. https://spreadsheets.google.com/ccc?key ... y=CMr5xrAJ The first column is everyone's first choice, so please try to make at least that one and I left the other choices on if people want to make more than one to avoid overlap. I highlighted any overlapping games I found and I think that there's enough variety in those games that we shouldn't have too much of an issue with overlap. For example there's 3 people that want to do pokemon, but there's I don't even know how many pokemon out there, so I don't think the squares will be too similar. Maybe we should get people to drill it down on the sheet just to make sure? I think its OK to have a few zelda/final fantasy squares on there too because the themed and misc quilts probably won't end up in the same place.
Anyway, if you put "any" please try to pick games not represented or maybe even fill out your slot on the sheet when you figure out what you want to do (just because I'm really curious).
Also, don't forget the themed quilts are still in progress, so think of good zelda and final fantasy squares while you're at it.
As of their last update Child's Play had raised a whopping $2.3 million for charity. Eventually we have to figure out the best way to sell these quilts, and how to get them to our quilter, but that can be a discussion for another day. Everyone, get to work!

There's not really any rush, I think the quilter asked to have them by August so that's a long time. I just wanted to get the miscellaneous games "set" ASAP to give people the most time possible to make and finish their patterns. Anyway, between you and me nothing's set in stone, I certainly don't remember what people picked, at least with this everyone can try to get a nice variety.

Haha, I figured it out. Here is the pattern I was taking about. I got it to the correct size.

It's my favourite scene in the game too. ^^

yup, 96x96 plus 4-4.5 inches on the border for quilting room on white/off-white aida. Thanks for updating the sheet too!

well i didn't see any kirby on there at all so i figured i'd have a go at that - originally i'd have loved to do something from a link to the past but we seem a little full up on that.
kirby's adventure for the nes was one of my faves when i was a little girl ;D

Re: Stitching for Charity! (brainstorming)
Ok, thanks for clearing up my questions about the size of fabric... I'll go out and buy some soon so I can start!
I had pokemon as a game and just went over a few pattern from littlemojo and decided I'm gonna do a Wingull/Pelipper-combo stitch... I really like those and have almost half the colors allready. The rest I will order sometime today...
I'd also like to do a zelda and mario thing, but need to decide what scenes... will let you guys know (through the sheet online...).
As for the extra dollars for quilt-materials, can we use paypal or just cash (I will be sending overseas, so extra money in the envelop/package won't be a problem, but maybe less safe..).

I've also changed my selections a little as I'm working on some square patterns - I've updated the google doc accordingly
