Questions for Starting Perler Bead...ing

Trying to get my husband into doing Perler Beads. Any advice on how to start? I have a few pictures I think he'd enjoy putting together, but I don't know the rest.

It's easy using game sprites since they are in pixels. Just put the beads on the pegboard accordingly. It's pretty simple.....and really fun.

Yes callahan13 is good. I order my stuff from www.bluendash.com and she also sells on Ebay but the prices are cheaper from her website. I always get my order within 3 days in the mail.

Oh and I forgot to say that at www.bluendash.com you get free beads with every order. How many free ones depends on how many you buy. It's a really good deal. Same goes for pegboards.

what i do for perlers is find a sprite off the internet, paste it on to a paint file, enlarge it, then just mark off each pixil with a dot when you place that bead.

Is there a way to figure out what color to use or is it just a guesstimate/play it by ear kinda thing?
