Sprite Stitch Board!

I recently bought glow in the dark kreinick floss, and I want to start using it! But...Do you use it like regular thread? Double stranded? Or do you put one strand of the glow thread and one strand of matching regular thread?

As far as I'm aware, you can do both! Whatever you like!

yeah like BMH said you can do both. one warning is that its really hard to stitch with but the end result is truly awesome so worth the frustration

Can you iron the finished product? Or will it melt?

(Also, this stuff is really frustrating and my stitches aren't as neat as cotton thread....but I'm liking the finished result)

I'm pretty sure you can iron it on the coolest setting, but check the instructions on the band - it should say there.

If the glow in the dark thread is like the metallic threads I found a little trick that makes it easier for me. I coat the ends with clear nail polish to keep the strand from fraying while I'm stitching. And since I trim the ends after the thread gets anchored, the nail polish doesn't stick around to do anything weird to my project later on.

Really saved me a lot of pain on some of the ornaments that I've stitched.

That's an interesting idea! Thanks I bet it would keep the threads in line if you had to double it, too (I'm only stitching with one strand for this project)

Agreed.
Also, are there other kinds of glow floss besides Kreinick?

I used DMC glow-in-the-dark floss for my Boo. It was not too bad to stitch with, though it was a lot fluffier than normal DMC.
