Wall Mounting Techniques

Post by jester-race »

Hey all! I'm another perler n00b. I've been wanting to get them for a while to make some pixel-art with my girlfriend and finally, we got two big containers of them. I've already made an 8-bit Koopa Troopa and I'm psyched to make more. My question for you pros is pretty simple today: How do you mount them onto your walls? Give me some tips.

Thank you very much,

Rob

I currently have a pretty nice Metroid on my wall that's about 8" in diameter. I hung it with fishing line. I just strung a little piece through a bead from back to front and then to the back again a couple beads away. Then I tied the ends together to make a small loop. Do this a couple inches from the top (or however far you need, depending on the size of the art) so that when you hang it, the line and nail will be completely behind the art and not visible above the top. Since they're lightweight, I just hang mine from a teeny tiny nail, pounded almost completely in, or a flat-head thumbtack. Since the fishing line only goes through a couple of beads, it's nearly invisible, unless you're REALLY looking for it.
