I bought mine for 7.99$ CAD. If you have a cheapy iron, fill it with a bit of water (even wgen steam is off).

Haha I didn't think of it but I don't have an iron either. If it comes to it though, I could always beg a friend for the use of theirs.

I have heard that washing then pinning them stretched over a board while damp makes them dry flat, and can be used to fix any warping from the stitches pulling unevenly. Not sure if it is as good as ironing, or if ironing can put them back into shape

It's not as good as BOTH ironing and blocking (what the stretching is called) but if you can't iron it, then at least try to get it blocked.

I'm actually blocking a piece at the minute. I'll see if I can put together a tutorial as so many seem to be asking about this.
