[Clocks] Not really a technique but...

Post by Sheetaaa »

Hello everyone!

I'd like to do a cross stitch of a clock like this one for example: http://www.spritestitch.com/wp-content/ ... oclock.jpg

My question is: how can I do it? Do I need a special clock, or I will only have to stick my finished fabric to a simple bought clock?

I hope someone can answer me or has already done this kind of work!

Thank you!

I know you can buy all the mechanical parts in a kit like this: http://www.amazon.com/Clock-Movement-Qu ... 324&sr=8-3
Although, you know, for that price it might be cheaper to get a cheap wall clock, take it apart and put your project in it. You'd even get a frame that way! :3

This tutorial should help anyone planning on making a clock out of an existing one:

You could also just buy the clock parts from a craft store and start from scratch.

Thanks!

I will have some work to do to understand everything (I'm French and this is not the kind of vocabulary I already know :D ), but it will help! If I don't know how to disassemble the clock, I think I'll just ask a clock maker!
