Sprite Stitch Board!

Hi, I'm having trouble trying to turn this picture of Snufkin from the Moomins into a pattern. Could someone give me a hand please?
Here's the image:

Around 100-130 stitches high would be great, and about 15 colours max please.

I did a pattern in kg file maker. It is 128 height stitches. I counted 7 different colors in picture.

A character from Tove Jansson's Moomin-stories. I warmly recommend them, they are wonderful books even for adults.
