ok, so time to start a new challenge...I'm listing all the ideas I remember from the last few votes...throw out anything more you can think of...

-astrological signs
-Girl Power - female video game icons
-The Secret Lives of... - character's alter egos
-Caught in the act - characters doing things you wouldn't expect
-Alternative "Home Sweet Home" - using characters/scenes to play on this classic cross stitch idea/slogan
-The 7 Deadly Sins - representing wrath, greed, sloth, pride, lust, envy, or gluttony.
-stained glass window art (not really working in glass)
-playing cards
-magnets

thats all I remember off the top of my head, and reading the last few ideas threads...What else can you think of?

How about a nerd alphabet challenge? Like those alphabets which people put around children's rooms. You could stitch the letter, then a picture.

It might be too much to do in a month so everyone taking part could take one letter each, then again if it's for 1/2 of June/July/August maybe it'll be a good one!

Another smaller idea is a rainbow of geekdom, everyone picks one image for each colour of the rainbow.(I've replaced indigo and violet with pink and purple, because indigo and violet can be a bit ambiguous!) e.g.

Red- Krabby
Orange- Charizard
Yellow- Pikachu
Green- Bulbasaur
Blue- Squirtle
Pink- Jigglypuff
Purple- Koffing

Those are just a couple of ideas, they can be combined with other ones- like an alphabet of playing card size!

Okay, not video game related at all, but I couldn't really justify why anyone would want a nice collection of the 7 deadlies hanging... but then I thought... what if you did it in kanji? I think that'd be hilarious, just like the people who get stupid tattoos and later find out what they mean when they actually meet someone who knows the language.

I like the idea of playing cards or stained glass!

YES. I speak Mandarin, and it's a hoot to see what people get tattooed on their body. I saw a girl at a club who had what was essentially "centre" - as in "shopping centre" or "community centre" - on her foot. Bonus: one of the characters was upside down!

The 7 deadly sins idea wasn't intended to be a collection necessary. It's a play on the words... for example, greed could be linked in with a video game arch enemy and pride could be getting a life in a game/highscore/item. Lust could be a play on Mario and Peach... etc. Nothing sinister... and you don't have to do all seven. Just one, or however many you'd like. It's just an idea anyway.

What if you did the "Nerd alphabet" but only did the letters making up your username? (Along with the pictures, of course.)
