FEB Challenge!! Bookmarks!

since February is a wimpy month, and we are getting a late start, I'm going to choose the challenge of BOOKMARKS.
from today you have 23 days to finish, plenty of time. entries are due by the end of FEBRUARY 28TH!
im not going to restrict them to a certain theme, just have at it...the only catch is it has to be a new project, I don't want people posting bookmarks they made last year (sorry, gotta make a new one!)
Let the challenge begin!

Question. What size are bookmarks normally?

Think they can be any size really (as long as they fit in a book lol), but the aida bands you can buy for cross stitch I think are about 4 - 5cm wide and about 15 or so cm long. I guess that's probably a generic bookmark size, as I've seen free bookmarks from bookshops that are roughly that size too.

nyami, I just did a little bit of looking after my last post about bookmark sizes and for cross stitch a good size seems to be 7 x 2" (18 x 5cm) - based on bookmark kits and patterns that I viewed through Google. I hope that helps

I've started! I'm including a mystery progress shot...can anyone guess the game??
The picture is pretty obscure at this point, but it is a game everyone knows!

i so want to do this stitch, but what stinks is i'm stuck in the northeast in a power outage (dang grids are shotty here) and don't know when Micheal's will open up again!
So if the power comes back on in time and I can get supplies I'm so in for this...if not...I'm still doing this kit baby announcement for a baby who was born last May......
