Since I only have 18-count at home to stitch on, i'll wait on buying till the final notice/descicion... I don't mind thought, the shop where I get my fabric is real easy on sizes they sell...
As for the suggestion of a paypal account, I agree... I don't have any spare dollars or anything to send with my squares...

I'm really excited for this project... too bad it will take a long time before we can actually see the finished product... but it will be worth it! :nod

I was just going over the thread again so I can have an idea of patterns to do and had a question. I know that there's a 96 by 96 square area to work with, but are we making patterns to cover the entire area? Just making sure.

I would say just do whatever you want to do as long as its the appropriate dimensions. I think it will look more "rustic" if its all different.

I wasn't sure about this either, I've never made one of these before, so maybe people with more experience will have better input.

A 15x15 space is fine. I can work with that. We also aren't working with a 96x96, there will be probably 4 across and 6 down at this size for a total of 24 squares per quilt. When you add in the amount for the borders it will be closer to 80x110.

I also already have a paypal for my quilt business so no worries!

wait, now I'm confused. Are you talking 80x100 for the finished quilt size? The 96x96 figure was 96 stitches x 96 stitches working space for each square. I just want to clarify. Thanks for all the input!

Yeah the 6x6 stitching area comes to 96x96 stitches and tnitnetny I believe is refering to the total quilt sizes. As for filled in vs. not filled in I think a combo could be nice maybe have totally filled in "scenes" and some less filled in with maybe just characters or something? I know I was planning to fill the whole 96x96 work space but I'd say to leave the option open not to fill it unless it is problematic from a quilting stand point. I would say just make sure it is nice and centered for the quilter(s) ^_^
A Stitch is Worth... How much is a stitch worth?

OK, that makes sense. I changed my previous post on page 8 to reflect all the new information.

If you want to contribute and haven't filled in the sheet please do so even if its just "Any" in the game column so we know you're still interested(link below). I know there are a few people that said they wanted to contribute so I added them to the list, but never filled anything else in.

I know we don't want to send this in to Penny Arcade, but I wanted to show a few of the auctions and silent auctions they did last year at their dinner as motivation for this project. There's a mario quilt on here that sold for $4,000!

There's some pretty sweet items in that auction... I think if we donate it to something like that it'd definitely boost the price.

Whatever happened to making something drawn by the penny arcade guys? We still planning on that?

Hey, would someone mind going through all the posts, and do a collective post of what we have come up with (the "final" decision so far) I know some people have already volunteered for things and would appreciate the update. Thanks!
