I love the stitch-a-long idea and was going to suggest something akin to it. Another board I joined a few weeks ago had one go all year where they would release a new piece of the pattern every month and the board members could put up WIP pics and stuff as they went along. I think that might be a really neat idea and it would feel like we were closer; knitting circle style.

Re: Planning ahead
I think a stitch-a-long would be a great idea of getting together. I did join in on the last swap and I loved it, but i can see how some can fell intimidated by it.
but i also vote for switching between the two, also because I have never done a stitch-a-long and really want to

Another vote for Zelda themed! Mainly because its popular and well known and also you can have varying degrees of difficulty in what you stitch.

Re: Planning ahead
The stitch-a-longs that I have seen online have everyone stitching the exact same thing. I think perhaps that could be a sort of bonding experience. We could start a mini stitch-a-long where we all stitch the Sprite Stitch logo!

I like the idea of doing the logo, although I'm less keen for anything else, I like being different, much prefer a theme then us all doing the same thing...starrley wrote:The stitch-a-longs that I have seen online have everyone stitching the exact same thing. I like this idea. Maybe make the picture a surprise and all we know at the beginning is the finished size and the thread colors.MeiTow wrote:I love the stitch-a-long idea and was going to suggest something akin to it. I think it would be cool for the first one to be with the Sprite Stitch logo. It would be good to have the pattern that people can work off of, but instead of all doing the same, we can have our own variations of it! It's less intimidating for people like me, because there is kind of a set path with it. Might be able to get less involved members *ahem* myselfstarrley wrote:The stitch-a-longs that I have seen online have everyone stitching the exact same thing.
