I've made a pattern up for the Zelda quilt:

Got a few ideas for the final fantasy theme too- but can't decide which ones to choose so might end up doing a couple!

Yes, I do have a paypal account, so sending a few dollars paypal isn't a problem.
I am soooo excited and can't wait for June/July for these to start coming in!! I realized I never put up my address, so as you guys finish them feel free to send them.

I will create a gallery someplace online and update it with photos of the cross stitch pieces as they come in.
Something I thought of last night is instead of auctioning them off ourselves, why don't we mail them to the Penny Arcade banquet they have every December for the live Child's Play auction? They may get a lot more money and it would expose the website to a lot more people.
Did we decide I am embroidering a center square for each quilt with the child's play and the sprite stitch logo instead of someone stitching them?

Re: Stitching for Charity! (brainstorming)
I've come up with my three patterns.
I hope they're fine with everyone.
I didn't want to do scenes but large sprites instead.

Left to right: Link from Oracle of Seasons, Fran & Balthier from FFXII: Revenant Wings, Naval Piranha from Yoshi's Island

Re: Stitching for Charity! (brainstorming)
I like the idea of sending it to Penny Arcade for their charity dinner, but I remember someone said they wanted a chance to buy it. I think you're right though, we can get a lot more money and recognition through a big event, but we still have plenty of time to sort that out. I would say we would at least want to send the big miscellaneous quilt and keep the two themes to ebay. If we decide to send it to them I can email them and see if I get a response, I have another piece I kind of wanted to send to the dinner anyway so I can do a two-fer.
I don't think we ever decided on the logos either. It seems like it might be better for you to embroider them with your fancy machine so we can easily get them all in one square, but I dunno what people think about that.

The logos would probably look nicer if they were done by machine. Lettering especially always seems to look smoother that way.

I will plan on making the center block the new Sprite Stitch logo and the Child's Play logo then. I will wait to design it until I have all the blocks for each quilt and will match design and colors to fit the blocks.

Re: Stitching for Charity! (brainstorming)
I'm done with my patterns, hope they are ok with all.
The top row are for the misc quilt, the second row Final Fantasy and the third Zelda. I will be making the first two squares in each row, and depending on how much time I have I may start the others too (if I decide not to I will share the patterns for someone else to have a go with)
How is everyone doing with their squares so far?

wow, those look awesome, I hope that someone at least makes the metroid square (so many hours of my youth lost to wandering in that game). However, I'm going to have to disqualify you because you're going to make my squares look bad (I kid, but not about making my squares look bad).
