Re: JAN/FEB Challenge - Portraits!
Here is a little WIP shot of my work so far.
Might even get to stitch a different colour in a couple of days.

LOL! Thanks Starrley. I'm really glad it's over, doing it two times made it less fun, but it looks pretty awesome.starrley wrote:I love your stitch, kuja! I went ahead and cut out your messy table for you

Love what everyone has made/is making right now! I was going to do this challenge, but then I got a job and now have less time to stitch, and other things take precedence to this
Unrelated side note: I notice monkeypeaches is listening to "Ready Player One". Absolutely LOVED that book! Excellent choice! Highly recommend to anyone here!

Re: JAN/FEB Challenge - Portraits!
Thanks BMH. I didn't really expect anyone to get mine this early in the stitching since he's not a major player in a game or anything. I got a tad bit of work done on him Friday night but I spent all day Saturday playing Oblivion (trying to get the xbox achievements for it) so I slacked off. I vow to spend Sunday stitching him as much as I can and I'll post another WIP either Sunday evening or Monday afternoon. I'm betting more for Monday since this weekend is double xp weekend for Call of Duty so my roommate has pretty much taken over my computer for the weekend (good for stitching motivation but bad when I get bored of doing that lol).
Monkey, that WIP makes me think of the little Hawaiian girl from Slingo.

Haha, I have never played Slingo, but I just looked up pictures online and you are so right! I haven't made much progress lately because I've been working more, so it still just looks like a bunch of black hair. I can't wait until I can post something that looks more like a personMeiTow wrote:Monkey, that WIP makes me think of the little Hawaiian girl from Slingo.

I just finished the book yesterday, and it was AMAZING! Beginning to end! I totally threw my fist up into the air multiple times while listening to it because I loved the characters and their bada$$ness so muchLinkIsMyHomeboy wrote:Love what everyone has made/is making right now! Oh! And I would highly recommend the audiobook because Wil Wheaton does a wonderful job of narrating it!!

I've been lurking this thread since it started and I've been thinking "omg why is everyone starting so late?!" I just now realized this is a two month challenge.

Re: JAN/FEB Challenge - Portraits!
Alrighty, the WIP as promised. Not as far along as I'd like so I think I'm going to buckled down and work like a crazy girl this week to get a bunch of it done for next week's WIP. During the week I tend to work on it after dinner and then late into the night as I spend my earlier day on the computer so I think I'm going to work during the daytime as well and really get it going. There's only 30 days left of the challenge!
:D
