Zelda Helmeroc King WIP

Post by sharayah »

I started stitching this piece about three days ago, and decided to keep track of my progress on here. I absolutely love this pattern and have enjoyed working on it. I'm almost out of my brown/black for the outline and have to get more pretty soon! XD Here's the original pattern: viewtopic.php?f=7&t=1647

Also, doing this on an 18 count oatmeal fabric.

If anybody else is doing this same pattern, feel free to post it in here if you want to!

You did all that in three days?!

I love your choice of fabric - gives it a tapestry sort of feel. :)

I stitch pretty fast, but it'll go slower once I get the outline done with--I'm missing a few colours I thought I had, but I have lots of other colours I can work with until I get them.

Thanks, yeah, I was going to stitch it on white, but then I dug the oatmeal out and thought the same thing, for the tapestry effect. It's very nice to work with too.

EDIT: The first day I was so mad at myself, I had counted wrong, and half my outline stuff was shifted over one. About three seconds of thinking I could deal with it, but then I had to bite the bullet and just unpick it all >_>

A bit more done last night, not as much as I wanted though, because I once again messed up on the border at the top, but it's fixed now. Blocked more colour in, mainly working with blues. Going to Hobby Lobby today to get more of my border colour and a few others I'm missing. And all of my project colours don't even fit in one of my plastic boxes. >_>

Decided to do some beading on this as well, so here's my little test area to get used to it. I've never done beading before, so this should be fun.

Been working on the sun off and on today. I had put orange/red beads into the center of it, but didn't really like how it ended up, so I just took 'em out.
