Hi,
Been lurking on the site a while and decided maybe I'd share and get some cheering on to get me through. I am currently working on a piece that is finished size of 3ft by just less than 3 ft. It is the Legend of Zelda on the snes map. Its HUGE! so huge the pattern in 44 pages, and the project will be cross stitched in four separate panels then framed as one. I started back in october and am going along at a good rate. Let me know what you think so far :) any encouragement greatly appreciated! This "monster" of a cross stitch shall take me years!

What the finished piece will look like years from now...

Fantastic! I'm doing the same map from Servotron's pattern, but mine will only be half the size (just started this past weekend). Good luck and keep up the great work! :clapping:

So...got a day off work so am stitching.....I have always done smaller projects this is by far my largest and I am trying so desperately to following the "ways and rules of stitching" I've been taught. But days like today I want to branch out and stitch the boarders of every page and not finish an area before starting another ! Why can't I ? My mother would have my neck for not following tradition ha ha. :P

We're already saying BAH to tradition by stitching non-traditional images! Do what makes you feel happy and comfortable - if that means rebelling against your mother then so be it! :P

Looking great!!!

There are days when I decide to work on the boarders, too! It really helps me see how much I have gotten done and how much is left to fill in. My mom finds it a little odd, too :P But, she might give it a try sometime.
