Day 7 CONTINUED

TIME FOR COLOUR!!!!!!! Last week I finished my Zelda towel around 1AM and then went through my friend's floss for the colours for this project. Probably a bad idea because after some sleep and in the daylight, the colours suggested by the pattern program are not that great. And the way my friend has her floss stored, it's not easy to go through it and select a different colour that's more accurate.

Luckily, the blue seems somewhat accurate. It's brighter but so pretty I'm using it anyway. YAY! :clapping:

Firehawke Congrats on finishing the black...love that shade of blue!
Thanks! The shade is super pretty, the picture really doesn't do it justice.

Day 8 - May 5

More blue! I go home in a week and I'm eager to make faster progress on this as, once I'm home, I'll be taking a break from this and trying to catch up on the stitch-a-long.

You're zooming right along! Good luck on getting a chunk more done before catching up on the stitch-a-long!

Day 9 - May 6

I'm feeling the encouragement love! I'm quite proud of how much I got done today. I thought the blue was going to be a total pain with all the random skipped stitches but there's a pattern to every line.
Do two stitches, skip one, repeat four times and then do three and skip one and repeat.
Do five stitches, skip one, do seven, skip two, repeat.

Gotta love the pattern-ness of the old 8-bit games. :D Looking good!

How fun that there's a pattern to it!

Keep up the great work!

Day 10 - May 7

Finished the first colour of blue in the water. Started on the green grass. Wasn't sure on the colour selection for the green but my hubby reassured me. Came to a disappointing realization. I pulled a bunch of stitches out because as a whole it was measuring 6-3/4", so I got it down to 6" exactly. Now it's measuring 5-3/4". :banghead: Apparently I tighten my stitches more than I thought. :cray: So I'm going to finish the picture as is right now and see what the measurements are and then add on as necessary. Frustration.

Day 11 - May 8

More grass! I'm really digging this green. It's also the one year anniversary of taking my son home from the NICU. He was born at 27 weeks and spent 128 days in the NICU until he was finally discharged. Yay! :peach
