Welcome to Sprite Stitch! I loved reading about your learning process. And your stitchings are great!

My cat likes to jump up on my lap when I'm stitching, and will rub her head on the aida. She's black shorthair but I keep having to pick hairs off my work all the same. I have a lint roller for picking up cat hairs and I'm wondering if it'd be alright to use on cross stitch...will test it out and let you know.

Though I have been known to sew my own hair into a piece (while it's still attached to my head!)

I've done whole rows without noticing my hair trapped in it. Glad to see I'm not the only one who does that!

I have been having too many issues with KG Stitch messing up the color downselection and matching. There are a few big projects I've wanted to start for a while but I struggled to pleasing results from KG. Finally last night I found a website www.pic2pat.com. It took a few hours in Photoshop to lighten, sharpen, resiz. But I'm very excited with the results. I went online and bought all the floss and large fabric I'd need. I am hoping to get started this weekend if the stuff shows up. I will post progress pictures.

The dimensions are 360 x 250 (about 20" x 14.5" for 18 ct. Aida), 75 colors, and by estimate will take me about 600 hours to complete. It's my biggest ever and I hope that I can finish by this time next year.

I took the Mega Man 2 projects and my mother and I made them into something amazing.

Wow, that's excellent! Are the striped borders for the boss portraits appliqued or machine embroidered? I can't tell.

It's a quilted wallhanging pieced. It took us a while but we found some fabric that had the blue stripes along with some floral stuff. We cut out the striped part and used it to border the aida. Squared off the corners with black to make it look like the mega man selection screen. Surrounded it with the blue and then backed it in black. The cross stiching took me about 30 hours (was just learning), piecing and finishing took us about 4 hours. My mom got an embroidery machine for Christmas and decided to use it for the middle square.

Great work! I've been thinking about making something like this, just can't decide on the subject. I really want to go with Donkey Kong Country 3, but it's pretty random haha.

I made this recently for a co-worker who is having a baby in July. Him and his wife love Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time.
