Princess Forever cross-stitch

Post by Duchock »

I just picked up cross-stitching in mid-November. My sister and step-mother always cross stitched, so it was about time I caught on. I made this as a Christmas present for my sister who stitched a 'Mario Across the NES Ages' for my birthday. I was slightly inspired by the juxtaposition, so I decided to return the favor, only using Peach instead. She has a huuuge princess and pink fetish, so these two ideas went together perfectly.

I thought it turned out pretty good for my third cross-stitch project. It was fun to do, but matching the colors was frustrating. :peach

This is really neat. I lovelovelove the frame.

I love these 'across the ages' pieces that show the evolution of the sprites.

Colour matching can be a pain, but I seem to recall that someone posted on here a while ago an rgb to dmc converter. I haven't used it myself, but it looked useful enough at the time that it stuck in my mind.

It's lovely work and I hope your sister enjoys it. :)

Wow, Peach across the ages, that's such a neat idea. I love Peach in the bottom right hand corner, she's gorgeous. I would never have the patience to match colours by inspection, but you've done a really great job :).

That might be mine; you can find it over here. Tips on finding your values can be found in this thread. (Littlemojo, that may be where you saw it, since you commented on that thread.)

-Thanks.
