I had another miscarriage today. It would really help if my sprite stitch family prayed or sent good thoughts for me & my family.

monday night, my area had a really bad thunderstorm. i work nights, so i was at work when it started. the power went out not even an hour into the shift. the generators came on, and we waited around a long time, eventually going into a shelter when a tornado warning was called. after a while, we come out, and we get sent home around midnight. i try to drive out of town, but am blocked by 3 streets with high water. i head back into town and wait a couple hours in hopes that the water will go down enough that i can go home. 2 am, i go out again. one of the spots i tried was back open, so i go down a couple roads, and am met with another blocked road closer to my home. i turn down a road a ways and find a parallel road to the one i was on. i go down, met with 3 mildly high water spots, but doable. immediately after the third one, i come across a really bad spot. i feel like i can't turn around, so i go for it. a little more than halfway, my car stops and dies. i try to start it; nothing. i immediately start panicking, but get out of the car, and there's a house nearby. i pound on the door. thankfully, someone was awake. also, thankfully, they had a semi-truck sitting in the driveway. they help me out and park me in their driveway for the night. i hang out in the truck and wait for my parents to help. they try to get me around 4 am, and am met with an even larger high spot the opposite way i had come. i was trapped there until the water went down enough to drive through, which was around 10 am. i don't get home until 12 pm. call AAA, they get my car. call my insurance, not much information on that front. call them this morning after work, and they call the mechanic i took it to. the car doesn't turn over and there's water in the back seat. insurance guy thinks it might be totaled...and i'm absolutely devastated. it's my first nice, new car, and it has gotten me through a lot these past couple years. i have spent a lot of money on it. if it's totaled, the loan will be paid off, but that doesn't help me get a new car, now does it? i wanted to move back to new york in september, and now i'm probably going to be stuck here for, seemingly, forever, at a job that i'm really hating, with no way to improve myself because this area has sh*t for education. my independence is slowly being taken from me, and this is, by far, the worst year i have EVER gone through. it makes for some depressing thought patterns.

Can I get a break, please?!

Last week bad storms came through the area and knocked power lines down on our street and we were without power for 36 hours. This week, I have excruciating pain in my upper right abdomen, leading me to believe I have gallstones. A trip to the ER today confirms that, so now I'll have to have surgery to remove it. This is going to be great with a newborn and a husband who works third shift. And, since he just took time off as "paternity leave," we really can't afford for him to take any while I have surgery/recouperate. ::heavy sigh::

@carand88: That's some bad luck, I really want things to improve for you!

@LinkIsMyHomeboy: That sounds bad. Do you have any friends or family nearby that can help you out?
