I love these Batman games, and this one is pretty fun. The story line is also really good. At first, it doesn't seem anything special and then *BAM* it changes drastically. I think my favorite part is the various cases you can solve around the city. Dunno why, but I love delving into the detective part of Batman. Feel like that is normally glossed over in favor of his fighting skills.
I have the first and second one on Steam and I think I would like them but they put so much muscle on Batman (at least in the first one) it's depressing, honestly. Specially since out of all the comic book worlds I like Batman best.

Yeah he is pretty muscular, but that is kind of his look in the comics right now, I think. I was studying his costume to see all the details (no, seriously! Don't give me that look!) And I think some of the muscles may just be his armor. Like in Origins, his thighs look massive, but there are some pocket looking things there as well.

I just finished yet another breeding project on Fire Emblem: Awakening. So who has two thumbs, saw the trailer for the new Fire Emblem coming out this year, and can barely see straight to type for all the anticipatory vibrating? ALL OF US, that's who.

Smash Bros. 3DS has also occupied a fair amount of my time. I'm no competitive player, but I did prefer Melee to the original and Brawl, and Smash 4 scratches that itch nicely.

Got a PS3 for the family for Solstice. Bought Ni no Kuni, the HD remake of FFX / X-2, and Civilization: Revolution. What have I been playing? FFVII. :P (Well, that's not fair. I also played Flower and loved it.) Gotta pick up Journey sometime soon.

I think it has more to do with the fact that I'm not really attracted to extremely muscled men...and I don't mean in a sexual way...just in general. I think it's gross and off-putting and one of the reasons I don't really get into comic books. Since I came to know Batman through Michael Keaton and then the cartoon and the rest of the movies I expect him to be in shape and I don't mind some body armor but when you can't put your arms down to your sides because you're so roid beefed out...no...and, unfortunately, the Arkham games made him exactly that way and it's annoying.

I know I just posted, but I have a new game to add to my list. I was browsing the 3DS eShop last night and came across Fairune. I decided to check it out to see if it would interest my daughter as a ninth brthday gift. It's an Android/iOS game with additional content for the 3DS version. It looks like FFI or Dragon Warrior and plays a lot like the first Zelda, but the streamlined fighting mechanic is unique (bump into an enemy and the game compares levels - if it's too low, you get no XP; if it's too high, it hurts you and you don't hurt it; if it's your level or one higher, you're slightly damaged but the foe is down). It's a brief game, less than three hours on my first playthrough, with collectibles and achievements adding a couple further playthroughs'worth of content. Still, it's super cheap and worth the fee.

The main reason I recomment Fairune is that its developers seem to appreciate how games used to just give you a cool environment and let you cut loose with artful clues to guide you but no real handholding, rewarding you for exploring while still presenting risks at every turn.

Sounds interesting RMDC! When I hit another DS dry spell I might pick it up.

My husband and I went out on the town today (the 7th) in celebration of our 16th wedding anniversary (the 8th) and, basically, stopped at all the places I wanted to go which included Michael's to pick up about $60 worth of floss I didn't have for two of my projects, a little clip light to put on my hoop when I stitch, and another box to hold my thread in (thank you Michael's for emailing me a coupon for 20% off my entire purchase yesterday...you must have read my mind!); Disc Replay (a second-hand store for games/DVDs/CDs/electronics/etc.) and picked up The Evil Within for the xbone for $25; and Gamestop where I picked up Rune Factory 4, paid off my pre-orders of Dynasty Warriors 8/Story of Seasons/Etrian Mystery Dungeon, and got to talk to the cute guy that works there about games who promised to bring me and the hubby some posters he has stashed in his garage and let us pick through them for any we would like. Told the hubby he's got some compitition. ;) :glare:

The grandparents gave my elder daughter Pokermanz Alfalfa Sapsucker for her birthday, so I bought Omegle Rubix so we could trade pogeybutts. I skipped Gen V completely and didn't pick up X or Y, so this is the first entry in the series I've done since Platinum. Hoenn was never my favorite region, but I appreciate the improvements that have come with Gen VI. I'm currently going up Mt. Chimney to smoke a bowl with Team Magma.

The crap thing is, though - all my awesome critters are on my copy of SoulSilver, and I don't fancy buying Black or White, porting dozens and dozens of them six at a time, then putting them all through the convoluted process of moving from Gen V to Gen VI... especially since many of them are really only viable in Gen IV due to the major gameplay changes in Gen V (let alone the addition of the Fairy type in Gen VI). So I think I'm going to leave them as Gen IV pogeys and instead start a new batch in Gen VI. From scratch. Help me.
