Awww, that's really sweet of herSheWhoRoars wrote:I was walking home from class today and it was raining so hard and cold that my arms and feet were numb, and some very nice girl offered me a ride back to my apartment since she was going that way already, and it just made my day!

I'm liking the glove. I've had it touch the rotary blade a few times so I'm glad to have it. Though on the front page of the packaging it says to help protect your hand while using a rotary cutter and the back says it's not for use on a moving blade...Yurtle wrote: I did slice a bit of my finger off last year with a rotary cutter. It sucked big time! I wish I knew there were gloves for that!

They probably mean more of a saw-like moving blade?

Got a promotion at work. The best part is that I'm no longer working graveyard shift.
While that means I get less time at 2:00 a.m. to cross-stitch while everyone else is asleep, it means I get more time with my loving wife and daughter. The pay raise is nice too.

I finished two biiiiiig, long term projects this weekend. One was a crochet blanket, the other a knit rug. Not only does that feel like I've accomplished something, but my flat looks a lot tidier now that these huge projects aren't lying around all the time (both are for other people).
